How Do I Know If I Need A Right-Hand Room Divider or Left-Hand Room Divider?
A standard Screenflex room divider comes as a standard left-hand partition. There are cases when a right-hand partition might fit the needs of your room better. So how do you know which one to choose? I’ll start by saying that in most cases, the standard left hand divider will be all you need. Let me explain the difference between a right-hand and the left-hand room divider so you can determine what you need to properly select the space divider that works best in your facility. Don’t forget that we also offer free space planning.
Right Hand Versus Left Hand Room Divider
FREEstanding dividers (shown below) work together to create 4 classrooms. In the floor plan, the customer used 2 right hand & 2 left hand partitions to get the layout they needed for their room. A right-hand unit’s first panel will bend towards the right, where a left-hand unit’s first panel will bend towards the left.
All WALLmount dividers are different from FREEstanding dividers because they mount to the wall. WALLmount dividers will store flat to either the left or right hand side of the point where it is mounted. If you are mounting a WALLmount divider next to a door or a window, you will want to make sure you get the correct divider for that need. This is how to determine if the divider is a left-handed or right-handed divider.
Integrity of Screenflex Panels
Every panel is attached with a full length piano hinge for a top to bottom connection. This insures long life, superior strength and stability of your divider. Since there are absolutely NO gaps between the panels, it is impossible to get your hand or fingers stuck between the panels.

Free space planning is available. We encourage you to take advantage of this free service especially when you need a more complex plan for your facility. Space planning will provide a two-dimensional floor plan as well as two three dimensional floor plans.
