Separate Computer Lab and Quiet Study with a Dry-Erase Board

The Solution

For a healthy learning environment, students need a space that’s collaborative and easily adaptable. In most classroom settings there is typically a vertical writable surface of some degree to foster this collaboration. While in the past, chalkboards were the staple in schools everywhere, modern times have adapted to dry-erase boards instead. Castle View High School was looking for a dry erase surface that could adapt in their busy library. Therefore, they opted for a portable dry-erase partition to fulfill their collaborative classroom needs.

As shown in the picture, the teachers at Castle View used Screenflex Dry-Erase/Tackable Dividers for their computer lab. These partitions are customizable with a whiteboard surface on any number of panels. Castle View chose to have one side entirely dry-erase and a Charcoal Black fabric on the reverse side. This reversible divider works great for not only a writable surface, but also as a display board with tackable fabric. Since this whiteboard rests on casters along the bottom, it can move and adjust to different parts of the room as needed. Our contact at the school also said they often separate the computer lab from the quiet study and stacks portion of their library. This portable dry-erase partition seems to add an excellent addition to their library classroom space.
